modeling, characterization, standardization and development of measurement schemes for optical fibers (i.e. chromatic dispersion distribution measurement and analysis of polarization using a POTDR)

Head of a research group at R&D Division of SIRTI (Milano)
with the responsibility of design and development of fiber optic passive components (fusion couplers, optical attenuators, optical isolators) and fiber optic amplifiers for the third telecommunications (TLC) window.
I studied, developed the technology (realization, testing and packaging) and put on production the first Italian fusion multimode, singlemode and WDM fiber optic couplers.
